Our Services

We prepare and accompany our students every step of their way, providing pre-arrival, arrival and post-arrival services.

Pre-arrival

First and foremost, Homestay Plus is the only homestay company that offers a Choice Plus service, which allows the students to choose their host family. The student fills out the homestay form with their preferences, makes payment and provides us with their flight details (up to 40 days before arrival*). We then book three families for the student to choose from. Students then will have 48 hours to decide (based on the family profiles sent) in which homestay they want to stay!

After choosing the host family, the student will receive the Host Family Profile containing information about the host family, the home, the suburb, public transport available nearby and house rules. The kit also includes the family’s contact numbers, in case the student wishes to contact them before their arrival to break the ice.

Arrival

The moment of arrival is very critical for most students and it can be a bit difficult to handle it alone. That is why the Homestay Plus Airport Pick-Up Service is the most comprehensive pick-up service on the market!

Our drivers are trained and friendly. They will be waiting for the student at the arrivals gate, holding a sign with the student’s name and the logo of the company and agency. The student will receive a welcome pack, with maps and brochures, and will be able to make a free phone call to their family overseas, to tell them they have arrived safely in Australia.

Our driver also enters the host house with the student, introducing the student to the host family and helping to break the ice in the first moments.

Post-arrival

Our homestay program offers the student their own furnished bedroom in the home of an Australian family, including bed linen, blankets, breakfast and dinner every day of the week and a light lunch on the weekends. Laundry facilities are also included in the price. The host families live in areas with easy access to public transport to and from schools.

Homestay Plus also visits each host family to ensure the accommodation meets the standard, and that the family is friendly and welcoming, and able to help students to feel comfortable and secure in their new environment.
